Not that doing so is an accomplishment, but it’s always nice to be noticed. I actually felt a little dirty after finding out…
Daily Kos: Republican movement to recall Harry Reid
Funny thing is these “enlightened individuals” think we, the proprietors of the Opposer Reid site, are (R). Just reading the comments makes one laugh. What’s even funnier is that they think what we are doing is an effort to recall our senator. I guess reading comprehension is next week’s lesson.
Neither observation is the case, neither Eric nor I are (R). As a matter of fact we despise many (R)s along with (D)s. And we are fully aware of our inability to recall the senator. But when the rules are made by those who would be a target of a recall, there is nothing wrong to say that we wished we could. Nor is there anything to prevent us from doing so by voicing our opposition to the treasonous talk in D.C. right now.
As for their veterans guest house comments, well anyone knows appropriations for veterans can be put in a spending bill separate from one that is intended to fund the troops in harm’s way but for those at DKos discerning the difference is, well, evidently not something they are able to do. After all, if the money in the supplimental bill is not directly intended for the troops in the combat zones, what is it’s purpose?
To get votes.
It is political plain and simple. Harry Reid and the lot are playing politics with our troops while they bleed and die.
That is why Harry Reid needs to step down from his leadership position.
We’re Nevadans who oppose treasonous talk by the people we sent to D.C. When the news from the Middle East and terrorist web sites trumpet the words of Harry Reid, it is obvious aid, comfort, and encouragement have been provided to those who would end our way of life if able. All important facets of the definition of treason in time of war.
(As an aside, growing up on military bases and serving myself, it is telling that a group of people so adverse to dstrictly supporting the troops without their own benefits involved would consider Harry Reid a “leader” of any kind. I’ve seen more leadership Marine Corps recruits. Reid couldn’t inspire and lead a Girl Scout troop to sell more cookies.)
Having served in the military and being deployed during a time of war, I can tell you what Harry Reid has done and said (along with his boss, Nancy Pelosi), has done more harm to our troops than good. But the feelings of the military and their point of view is completely ignored because votes are what Reid is really after.
Sure they can trot out one or two disgruntled vets to plead their case but we know that is nothing more than political theater. The proof is in the lack of Reid and Pelosi having you listen to anyone who would dissent from their surrender.
“Support for the troops is not about your intent, it is about your effect.”
The effect of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and their supporters have only a negative impact on our troops in harm’s way. And those in D.C. either don’t understand that, or, they don’t care.
This is a war on President Bush, not one against those who target and kill us no matter where we are.
John F. Kennedy would be ashamed of these (D)s:
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
This much we pledge—and more.
To those old allies whose cultural and spiritual origins we share, we pledge the loyalty of faithful friends. United, there is little we cannot do in a host of cooperative ventures. Divided, there is little we can do—for we dare not meet a powerful challenge at odds and split asunder.
So thanks Kossacks, I now have no fear of you all taking over the country, you didn’t disappoint. I had a great laugh.
