via Hot Air’s “High-level” political officials interfered in NBPP case, forced withdrawal:
The US Civil Rights Commission has concluded in an extensive report that the strange decision to dismiss a case the Department of Justice had won by default against a New Black Panther Party activist for voter intimidation came after the involvement of political appointees. Furthermore, and most embarrassing, the 131-page report accuses the Department of Justice of attempting to cover up that involvement, and that the cover-up came from “high-level” officials in the DoJ.
It’s really our fault for believing people working for the President are capable of being post-racial or concerned about the rights of ALL AMERICANS regardless of ethnicity. The president wears his non-existent slave roots on his sleeve and his racial politics on his other sleeve all while spinning tails of the horror of what America USED to be.

Why Are Casino Bosses Teaming With Union Bosses in Funding an Anti-Tea Party Group?

Eric Erickson reports: BREAKING: Significant Election Complaint Filed in Nevada
Attached is a Nevada Election Task Force complaint filed late today in Nevada by Babette Rutherford, a Nevada voter. [link]
The complaint alleges scores of union tactics designed to undermine the integrity of the voting process and intimidate voters.
Specifically, the complaint notes that union officials are busing in union workers, leading them to the polls, deterring or preventing the union member from going to unobserved polling locations set up in Las Vegas, etc.
“The union personnel strategically position themselves at various points around the boundaries of the polling location to ensure that one or more of them are able to monitor their members’ activities at all times.”
The complaint is highly detailed and filled with eye witness accounts of union officials intimidating casino employees and directly overseeing how the union employees are attempting to vote.
And we all know who the unions are voting for don’t we?

But I’m not going to claim that at the end of the election I can account for every ballot. There will be unexplained votes on voting machines.

FBI links shooting at recruiting center to 2 others
The FBI said on Thursday that it has linked a shooting at a Marine Corps recruiting station in a Virginia suburb outside the U.S. capital to two other shootings at the Pentagon and a Marine Corps museum.
“A shooting at a military-related facility in Chantilly, Va., has been linked to two earlier shootings at similar facilities laboratory tests show,” the FBI said in a statement, adding that it would not release any further details.
Investigators believe a high-powered rifle was used to fire up to seven shots at the Pentagon, shattering two windows, early October 19. The FBI said it had linked that shooting to another at the National Museum of the Marine Corps two days earlier.
Ammunition, casing and chicken feathers found have been matched and the hunt is on.

I guess the hag from The View and some cable show at the bottom of every ratings poll realized she had brought Sharron Angle down to her own level and didn’t like the company or the competition.
There can be only one truly crazy, hateful bitch in the public eye and that is going to be Joy!!!

It is such a beautiful thing to see the losers at Media Matters get their asses handed to them on a plate. No wonder they need donations from the likes of Soros to stay afloat.
Media Matters Lies to Protect ‘Fallujah Four’ Democrats
Democratic party front group Media Matters for America has lied twice in recent weeks while coming to the defense of Democrats up for reelection who have come to be known as the ‘Fallujah Four’ for allegedly aiding terrorists in Iraq.
Democrats Sen. Barbara Boxer (CA), Rep. Henry Waxman (CA), Rep. Dennis Kucinich (OH) and Rep. Raul Grijalva (AZ) were reported by an Islamic website, Islam Online, to have given diplomatic courtesy letters to Code Pink/Global Exchange to facilitate the delivery of $100,000 cash and $500,000 in humanitarian aid to what Code Pink called the “other side” in Fallujah in late 2004 as the U.S. was clearing the Iraqi city of al Qaeda and other Sunni terrorists.
In separate articles defending Fallujah Four members Sen. Boxer and Rep. Grijalva, Media Matters makes its case that the aid was meant solely for refugees by ignoring copious evidence to the contrary. Instead, Media Matters defends the Democrats and Code Pink/Global Exchange by citing Code Pink propaganda reported by the AP and Islam Online as well as a quote from a 2005 interview with a left wing activist Gold Star mother who participated in the aid delivery.
Media Matters says it is “completely baseless,” a “total fabrication” and there is not a “shred of evidence” to support the charge that the letters from the Fallujah Four aided terrorists. To reach that conclusion, Media Matters ignores the statement by Code Pink/Global Exchange founder Medea Benjamin reported by Agence France Press at the time the aid was delivered that it was intended for the “other side.”
“I don’t know of any other case in history in which the parents of fallen soldiers collected medicine … for the families of the ‘other side’,” said Medea Benjamin, the founding director of Global Exchange, a human rights group.
Benjamin also stated the groups’ intention was to undermine the U.S. efforts in Fallujah and Iraq.

Media Matters betrays our men and women in uniform with its defense of the Fallujah Four and Code Pink/Global Exchange. One has come to expect a lack of respect for truth and honesty from Media Matters. However David Brock and company have sunk to a new low with their backstabbing propaganda on behalf of those who are getting our troops killed.
Well when your benefactor is anti-American it makes sense the people he pays would be too.

15 killed in Mexican car-wash massacre
Gunmen killed 15 people at a car wash Wednesday in a Mexican Pacific coast state where drug-gang violence has risen this year. It was the third massacre in Mexico in less than a week.
The gunmen in three vehicles drove up to the car wash in the city of Tepic and opened fire without provocation, said Fernando Carvajal, public safety secretary of Nayarit state, where the city is located. Fifteen men were killed and three people were injured.

The SEIU, Harry Reid, And Voting Problems
Did you know that the SEIU represents the voting machine technicians in Clark County (Las Vegas), Nevada? Is it any surprise, as we noted earlier today, that there was a voting glitch in Clark County, Nevada? The glitch caused Harry Reid’s name to be automatically checked on the ballot before voters had indicated who were they were supporting.
According to Joyce Ferrara who was an eyewitness to this strange ballot ordeal, the problem was widespread, “One person that’s a fluke. Two, that’s strange. But several within a five minute period of time — that’s wrong.”
It is particularly troubling that Clark County has put the uber left-wing SEIU Local 1107 in charge of their voting machines.
The agreement between the SEIU and Clark County specifically puts all voting machines under the control of the SEIU.

Barack Obama’s dumb ‘Daily Show’ Jon Stewart appearance and the President’s diminishing brand
Obama’s handlers were supposed to be smarter than this. They were supposed to use his celebrity strategically to advance his agenda. Instead, they’ve been indiscriminate, carpet-bombing Americans with the man they elected rather than launching communications smart weapons.
The result is that for millions of Americans, the very likable, charming Obama has become a constant tone in the background rather than an occasional, convincing, presidential voice in the foreground – the kind that makes your ears perk up.
Consider all the quasi-entertainment media appearances he’s made, most of them frivolous.
He went on ESPN twice to announce his Final Four picks. He went on “The View” (drawing 6.5 million viewers). He had a “Christmas at the White House” special with Oprah Winfrey. He went on Jay Leno – becoming the first sitting President to appear on a late-night show. He was on the cover of Rolling Stone, giving a revealing interview looking back on his first 18 months in office. In December, he’ll be going on the Discovery Channel’s “MythBusters.”
[...]
People start to wonder why, if you’re the President in very serious times, you can find a slot in your schedule for frivolity like picking NCAA brackets – but not for more than one true news conference every couple of months.
They start to wonder if your overexposure is not a form of overcompensation.
The question should be asked: How do these appearances rise to the top in a tightly controlled White House, when there are thousands upon thousands of requests for the President’s time, most of them with hard-news outlets?
Yes, Presidents are allowed to have fun. Yes, George W. Bush spent tons of time clearing brush on his ranch. No, they don’t have to be all business, all the time. But Barack Obama doesn’t need to be, for media purposes, his own First Lady.
Last March, in a column titled “The Obama Everywhere Gamble,” I wrote: “The American people are remarkably savvy media consumers. Over time . . . a critical mass of people may start to suspect that the President and his men are wooing us relentlessly through a permanent campaign through the culture in order to win us over on policy. And nobody likes to be manipulated, not even by a great communicator.”
I can’t end this column any better than I ended that one.

Official: Sheen Hospitalized After Trashing Plaza Hotel Room
Sources said the unidentified woman in the room claimed Sheen, 45, was acting irrationally and throwing furniture. Sheen reportedly told police he had been “out partying” and flew into a rage when noticed his wallet was missing after returning to his room.
At least $7,000 in damages to the hotel room was recorded, sources said. Tables and chairs had apparently been thrown around the room and a chandelier was also damaged.
Or, it may be he’s finally come to grips with the fact Emilio Estevez is really his brother.
