Seems no one knows the rules, no one is reading, them and they are making crap as they go.
So that’s what Obama meant by CHANGE®

From the news on my idiot box at home and all over the web, I have noticed a couple of things in North Dakota which paint a striking contrast to what we saw after Katrina hit Louisiana:
And finally, and one more thing I think is a very important difference between Katrina and the flooding we see today, North Dakota is a RED STATE going back several elections. (This is also true when you look at how Texas, another red state, handles hurricanes.)
I can assure you, Katrina would have not been the disaster it was had it occurred in Fargo, North Dakota (or any other “red state” in Middle America for that matter). It takes smart voters to avoid a Nagin/Blanco/Landrieu-like circus of impotence, incompetence and stupidity.
Can you picture the people of the Ninth Ward doing this? Can you see people like this crying about the President’s failure to act fast enough for them? Can you see these people blaming their misfortune on the government?
Neither can I.

Being a great poet (rapper) is one thing. Trying to pass yourself off as an intellectual? Something clearly not wise.
Nine minutes of ignorance, interruption, and general low class – oh, and something that sounds similar to English….
It’s funny as you listen (I had to watch several times to get it all), but you can tell that Mos Def has done nothing to educate himself. His entire argument stems from intellectual dishonesty and a failure to take responsibility for his own education. Then, when he asks for proof of Hitch’s and Rushdie’s information, he says he doesn’t believe their sources – “I don’t speak Arabic”, Mos Def says.
Seriously? Never watched a Bin Laden video? Not aware the goals of the Taliban are not published and widely known? Ignorant of the Al Qaeada manifesto? Are you unable to read on your own as well?
What you are seeing in this video is the ignorance instilled by our culture and encouraged throughout.
Oh, and Bill Maher is a classless pile of excrement, but you already knew that.

Leave it to your average American to come up with a solution for some of our economic troubles that makes more sense and is less destructive to the country than anything the President’s Ivy League brain trust will ever come up with:
Patriotic retirement: There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force … pay them $1 million apiece severance with stipulations. They leave their jobs.
Forty million job openings — unemployment fixed.
They buy new American cars. Forty million cars ordered — auto industry fixed.
They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage — housing crisis fixed.
David Otterson, Largo, FL
How about that, we would actually save trillions in place of the “let’s bankrupt America” plan in place now.
Of course, this won’t be considered for two big reasons, it helps average Americans and not the power base. And it makes common sense, something not common in most blue state.
And for those of your familiar with politics, especially Chicago-style politics where corruption and quid pro quo politics are the norm, you will see the obvious benefit to the President, he’s buying off millions of the American public and ensuring a few votes for 2012 he will not get if he continues on the meandering, aimless path he has us on now.
On the job training is a bitch, isn’t it, Mr. President? Ya should have prepared better by working some real jobs instead of speechify’ing your way through life.

Via Hot Air: Newspaper that railed against AIG bonuses paid bonuses just before declaring bankruptcy
Do as we say, not as we do. I wonder if they’re Obama fans at that failed paper.

They are trashing our country, they are bankrupting our country, and they intended to do it from the start: ‘Starting today, the United States government will stand behind your warrantee’… [sic]
Read this tripe from the President’s comments:
Let me be clear: the United States government has no interest or intention of running GM.
Then why did you just say this five seconds before, Mr. President?
In this context, my administration will offer General Motors adequate working capital over the next 60 days. During this time, my team will be working closely with GM to produce a better business plan.
Um, that is exactly what “running GM” involves is your team’s input. Must be what comes out of your mouth are “just words”, huh?
Mr. President, today the word of the American government means nothing because you say one thing (and sometimes another five seconds later) and the end up doing something else. Man, you are one outstanding bullsh*t artist.
And go figure, the Obama team speaks and the markets are tanking again….
This is a nightmare.
After visibly defenstrating GM CEO RIck Wagoner, and moving to replace the board of directors, won’t Obama now “own” the GM problem? If the company shuts down in the near future, costing tens of thousands of blue collar jobs, it will be under executives implicitly or explicitly chosen by Obama. It will be Obama’s failure, not simply GM’s failure, no? A public sector failure, not just a business failure. Doesn’t that make it harder, not easier, for the administration to walk away and force the company into bankruptcy (if, for example, the company’s plans for “viability” continue to fall short after the new 60-day deadline)? And doesn’t that, in turn, make extracting the necessary concessions (by threatening bankruptcy) more difficult as well? … This wouldn’t be the first time that financier-turned-autoczar Steven Rattner’s tendency to talk to the press–and maybe emphasize his own role–proved counterproductive.

Michelle Malkin: Another day, another troop smear
That Great American Patriot Bill Maher smears our troops serving in Japan and Germany: “At some point these people are going to have to learn to rape themselves.”
Two quick things:
1) You’ll note that liberals have nothing to say about U.N. “peacekeepers” raping women and children around the world.
2) This story has gotten little attention here at home, but the woman who accused Lance Cpl. Daniel Smith of rape in the Philippines has recanted…
Five minutes, one close room, me and Bill Maher. That’s all I want for Christmas, because that’s all it would take…
F–k Bill Maher and his sycophants.

Police have arrested a Reno man on suspicion of impersonating a police officer after he allegedly pulled over a female motorist using a siren and flashing red-and-blue lights.
AdvertisementDavid Robert Schmall, 36, was booked into jail Friday on suspicion of impersonating a police officer on March 21, Reno police Sgt. Kim Bradshaw said in a Sunday news release.
They might wanna do a urinalysis and a psych evaluation on this one.

And you all were worried about Bush-Hitler and the Patriot Act! HA!

Now that the 2008 election is over and Bush is out of office after successfully cleaning up the mess that Rummy created decades ago and allowed to fester by every President who followed Reagan, it is nice to see the work of my cousins, my fellow Marines, and my fellow service men and women from around the world get some coverage in the dominant media.
Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from Tony Blair:
I just want to say this. I want to say it gently but I want to say it firmly: There is a tendency for the world to say to America, “the big problems of the world are yours, you go and sort them out,” and then to worry when America wants to sort them out.

He had no idea what he was saying and people still bought the snake oil. It has been said repeatedly, if this country falls, it will be from forces within.
At least when Bush attacked a country, it wasn’t his own.
