DPGI – the aftermath

Progs and gun owners not welcome in Obama-lot

This is pretty telling about the new President. He tells them one thing and seems to do another…

1. Obama Throws No Bones to Progressive Base

When is Obama going to appoint someone who reflects the progressive base that brought him to the White House?

He won the crucial Iowa caucuses on the strength of his anti-Iraq War stance, and many progressive peace and justice activists worked hard for him against John McCain.

So why in the world is he choosing Hillary Clinton to be Secretary of State when she was one of the loudest hawks on Iraq and threatened to obliterate 75 million Iranians?

And it’s not just Hillary.

Obama’s OMB pick, Peter Orzag, is a Clintonite disciple of Robert Rubin.

Obama’s AG pick, Eric Holder, is a Clintonite who represented Chiquita Bananas.

And Larry Summers’s name is still being bandied about for Treasury, even though Summers, while Clinton’s Treasury Secretary, forced the deregulation of our financial markets and imposed disaster capitalism on Russia.

Worse still, heading Obama’s transition team on intelligence matters are two former deputies to George Tenet, of all people.

The funny thing here is seeing just how naive “progressives” are believing Obama pandered to them for any other reason then to win the primaries. This is a prime example of why the “progressive” block in our nation would doom us to defeat, embarrassment, and failure if ever in power. They are ignorant to the cut-throat and buzz-harshing realities of the real world and politics.

2. Owning a gun a disqualification in Obama administration

But even some Democrats and transition experts are baffled by the inclusion of the question.

Tucked in at the end of the questionnaire and listed under “Miscellaneous,” it reads: “Do you or any members of your immediate family own a gun? If so, provide complete ownership and registration information. Has the registration ever lapsed? Please also describe how and by whom it is used and whether it has been the cause of any personal injuries or property damage.”

During the entire campaign, the only evidence that Obama was a supporter of the 2nd Amendment or gun owners were his words. And I am not really too sure you can trust Obama’s words. There are times they seem to matter, and other times when the obviously do not. Even close scrutiny of his positions and statements confuse those who examine them closely.

You can tell by his choice for AG that he has already reneged on his 2nd Amendment words. He is no friend to the 2nd Amendment.
